We’ve been ravished by an early on-slot of Spring here in San Francisco this week. It has been rather distracting and makes one want to stick around for the up coming Drupalcon SF and Gilbane SF events, just to name a few.
Meanwhile, we’re heading for the door just as fast as possible. But just before the shoes slap the pavement, here’s a big thanks to the current CMSWire sponsors (follow them on Twitter). It’s you who have kept our wheels turning and the keyboards merrily clacking. We are thankful.

Sadly, we also feel compelled to note that not all of you are so fabulous. This week our blacklist super star is Austin-based Bulldog Solutions, Inc. (CEO - Rob Solomon, President - Todd Davison, and totally unresponsive VP of Finance - Andrew Peoples). The Bulldog folks have been rep’ing companies like Open Text, Marklogic and Siteworx.
What the company’s clients may not know is that Bulldog doesn’t pay small media companies like us when they feel they have other priorities (we know from repeat performances). So dear Bulldog, since — when it’s not to your liking — you don’t return emails or phone calls, we’ll ask you publicly: Isn’t 6 months long enough to sit on our invoices? According to the IAB Terms & Conditions, it’s far too long and you’re breaking the industry rules by not paying within 30 days of invoicing and by not responding to requests for information. I just want to be sure that all your clients are aware of how you do business and just what kinds of seeds you’re sowing for them.
In the wake of the Twitter flatline phenomenon (the company’s massive growth rate leveled out between July and December of 2009), it appears we’re seeing what is possibly the most change the platform has undergone since its inception. Their latest development? Digging up the most relevant Tweets rather than presenting them real-time.
Metalogix (news, site) supports SharePoint from the administrative side of things offering migration, archiving and other management functions. Their recent acquisition of StoragePoint, another SharePoint solution provider, has added a new capability to their suite of solutions — one that will appeal to many organizations.
If the forthcoming official release of eZ Publish 4.3 tickles your fancy, then you should check out the release candied eZ Systems (news, site) kicked out on Wednesday.
This week, Google is making even greater use of its famous search technology by handing it over to administrative assistants. Smart Rescheduler, currently a Google Calendar Labs project, utilizes Google’s ranking algorithms to dig up the best time and location for meetings. Can you imagine no longer having to consult with everyone’s schedule?

This week we saw Google move from taking a bite out of Microsoft’s pie to their first all-out attempt at devouring it whole. What we’re talking about, of course, is the Google Apps Migration for Microsoft Exchange tool.
If this is how we’re fighting now, then, well: Things just. Got. Interesting.
A lot of stuff has been happening in the social media marketing realm thanks to companies like Webtrends and Omniture, but now it looks like everyone’s favorite social network is kicking out some data reports of its own. This makes sense, considering the fact that Facebook just surpassed Google in hits.
Every company likes to save something special for their annual convention, and IRIS (news, site) is no exception. One of the releases that caught our attention was the upgrade to IRISPowerscan, which comes with a built-in connector to SharePoint 2007 and a wizard for capturing and managing documents.
